What is knowledge work?
A knowledge worker, a term introduced by Peter Drucker in 1959, works primarily with information or develops and uses knowledge in the workplace. This journal looks at the tools and techniques of that work, especially better communication: thinking about products, policies, and practices; documenting them clearly; and developing useful instructional material.
The notes are intended for technical writers and editors, instructional designers, trainers, performance-improvement specialists, business analysts, and anyone who finds these responsibilities becoming part of the job.
